The Wherever Writer is a travel blog founded by a wandering 20-something who didn’t know what to do with her journalism degree.

In the summer of 2012, fresh out of college and unsure of her career plans, Amy went on a two-month road trip across the U.S. with her family.

Somewhere in the middle of Yellowstone, her dad convinced her to launch a personal travel blog to document her adventures that summer—thus, The Wherever Writer was born.

Over the years, it’s grown into a trusted resource for travelers to Peru, Paris, Budapest, and wherever else Amy’s travels have taken her.

Today, The Wherever Writer is a hub of resources for urban travelers and digital nomads. You can find articles in the following categories:

The Wherever Writer has been featured in Writer’s Digest, Pink Pangaea, and a Hachette textbook for French students studying English (ya can’t make this stuff up!).
